Coaching and waxing support is available to members of Biathlon East Australia Associations and Clubs at the Australian X C Skiing Championships at Falls Creek on 30 July - 1 August

The event is held by Victorian Biathlon Association and East Gippsland Biathlon Associaiton on behalf of Biathlon East Australia  (supported by NSW Biathlon). 

The Australian XC Championships waxing and coaching support program is being held with adherence to Biathlon East Australia's COVID-19 Safety Plan requirements.  

If you are ill or have flu-like symptions, please donot attend.

A final program will be confirmed with participants in the week prior to the event once starting times for the events are known. 

Waxing: Ski waxing for events will be provided as part of coaching support. Athletes will be assisted to test skis on the Friday and Saturday. 

Note: wax used will comply with the protocols of SnowAUS as the  event organiser for this event. This may include a restriction on the type of HF wax permitted and for these events Future Fluro Free High Performance waxes will be used.

Athletes are  welcome to use their own LF waxes and will be shown how to apply these and can wax their skis at the same  time as the coaches are waxing.   

Cost:   Wax for skis will cost $65 per pair for high performance wax including HF or Fluro Free high performance wax and structure if needed.

Classic waxing is $25 + $25 for high performance glide / structure if needed. 

Coaching fee per athlete:  will be determined based upon the the number of athletes who are part of the event. The aim is to keep the cost as low as possible. 

Using LF wax: athletes should being their own LF wax and there is not cost to waxing along side of the coaches.  

Registration: Interested athletes should register their attendance by 14 August 2021 so final numbers, costings and details can be advised.
