State Team Selection

Each year, Biathlon East Australia selects a NSWACT & Victorian State Team and State Development Team. Invitations to join the NSWACT & Victorian State Team and State Development Team are made at the conclusion of the Australian winter racing season. 

To be eligible for selection an athlete must meet the criteria set out in the NSWACT & Victorian State Team and State Development Team Selection Policy which includes:

•  be an Australian citizen or permanent resident 
• be a resident of NSW, ACT or Victoria or a current financial member of a BEA Club or Association.  
• meet the selection criteria outlined in the selection policy
• conduct themselves in a manner outlined in the BEA State Team and State Development Team Code of Behaviour 
• be turning 12yrs or older in the year of selection
• have accepted their invitation to be a member of the NSWACT & Victorian Biathlon State Team or State Development Team and paid the associated fee (if any).

2021-22 Selection Criteria 

Selection to 2021-22 Biathlon East Australia NSWACT & Victorian State Team and State Development Team has been impacted by the worldwide COVID19 pandemic. The basis for selection for 2021-22 is set out under paragraph 2021-22 Special Circumstances – COVID 19 Pandemic on page 1.
